We just welcomed two new jewel cichlids into our family-again. These two are my daughters. She fell in love with the jewels I got from CHoffman and wanted two of her own.

They're eating and currently "hunting" the live food I put in there a few minutes ago.

Thanks again, Cesch! They're gorgeous and spunky, too! They couldn't wait to get out of those bags. I thought they were going to jump out of the container before I could get them into the tank

I know the "princess" is going to come flying through that door in a few hours. I'm glad the mail came now so they'll have a few hours of peace before her little face is stuck to the side of their tank

I'll post pics in a day or so once they've had a chance to get adjusted to their surroundings (and the 11-year-old that's going to go nuts when she sees them).

They are used to little faces pressed up against the glass. They won't mind..lol...My kids get a chair and stick their little finger in just a little bit and let them kiss their fingers. My oldest a wise 4 year old..lol..told each of them goodbye and good luck..It was kinda funny, I think she was a little sad but since we have a billion more of them she got over it pretty fast..lol.

Awww, that's so sweet! Maybe I'll let Shelby teach them how to handfeed. Oh wait, she'll have a JD in there, soon. Ouch. Yep, definitely gonna let her teach them how to handfeed

Well, which four are they?

Mercy, it's incredible to see how they'll be looking soon. What do you feed them? They're on live food and Ken's cichlid food here, but I'm not afraid to add other things into their diet if it will be better for their health.

You don't recognize your own kids....I won't tell them. Their diet sounds good. They got kens here too..
