HI everyone.

My father has one male Auratus in his tank and its super aggressive.

I just wanted to know IF anyone has had exprience with female Auratus.

I was hoping to add one to my 60 gallon african tank. =)

I have a male who is a beast and tank king....if you are putting a female in with him, he needs 3-4 of them....if you are putting her in alone in another tank, she can be queen of the roost also..they hold their own ...both sexes....but ive not had a fem and havent found where I can get enough to hold their own with the boss....

Heard the females can be killing machines too..

my female auratus can be worse than my male. at least he only go after other male auratus when they start to change. if you try to get a female I hope you have better luck than I have had I have been through about ten juvie's so far and got 1 female the rest were male

Hi, I just remember that when I had two a year ago they were irratating, bullying and nipping other cichlids. It was so weird because they were so small in comparision!!

out of all my africans, my red zebras are the most mild...even more mild than my labs...but each fish is different ...what size tank are you stocking?
