Hey Everyone,

I just looked at my tank and saw my jewels laying eggs.

This may seem like a stupid question, but do they only ever lay eggs when they are a mating pair? Or if 2 females were to be together in a tank, would they just lay eggs.

im not sure about jewels as ive never had them..but I know other fish, convicts & angels, will spawn eggs without a male ..they just never grow of course and get eaten

Thanks for the reply. I'm 50% undecided whether or not this is the case with my jewels, so I guess all I can do is wait and see what happens with the eggs.
