came back from my holidays on tuesday and my father who was taking care of the fish said that there was a fish in the unused filter turns out it was the 3 inche jewel ,im amazed at how it got in there but it took me about 40 minutes to get it out ( what a nightmare ). i thought it was dead but at the last try i got him he loks worst for ware but seems to be holding his own tho still dont know how he got in there

Hmm..Jewels can jump high too..I've seen mine do it. But I'm confused about the unused filter part??. Did you have a HOB filter without the lid off??.

hi there , the filter that came with the tank ( juwel filter ) wasnt strong enough so i had to get an external filter . the external filter changes the water twice daily 450lts but the jewel is doing great !
