poo question

just a question...... what is my african cichlids poo suppose to look like? i have always notice longer strings and different colors......everyone is fine, eating and active and digging....havent had any problems in the tank since i started it and all fish were bought from same LFS and same tank..just something i am curious about as i occassional read about stringy poo and really dont know what that is.....is always seems to come out a long string.....I dont see how it can come out any different. anyone have any good links or pictures? i just want to better educate myself.

Hello Zowie. I know it isn't a pleasant subject but it's truly a concern with fish keeping. If it's stringy and brown I wouldn't worry too much. If it's white and stringy it could be signs of internal parasites. I'm sure you'll get some more responses.

LOL nice topic ..stringy poo is normal for most fish ..some you get to see hanging and some you dont....also, poo will take on allot of colors of the foods you feed...dont panic its normal unless its white and moves on its own (some of mine even have a whitesh color because they eat allot of lettuce )

I tried to teach mine to go behind the rock and poo...but they don't listen. They just do it right there in front of everyone. Daddy (me) gets embarrassed
