I had a female lab that did that. Some are just really "nervous mommas" I would consider getting either a 10 or 20 long and puting some caves in them and when they spawn immediatly move them. Then by the time they do spit you will have been able to count the 21 days. If they are spat to early, you might want to research "egg tumblers"
I would otherwise go the 21 days and strip them, then put them back in the main tank.
