| The first is a Severum, the second is a Texas Cichlid.
The third looks like a Severum again. |

| Can I keep severums? :3 Somehow something tells me yes seeing as they only grow from 10" to 12" that and I like a fish called the black belt cichlid and they grow about same but still not sure about those. |

| Deku, putting this as nicely as possible, I have seen you list more fish for the SAME 55 gal. than I knew was possible to think of.
We are not here to tell you what to put in your tank, we're here to help advise you when you make your decision. It's best just to do all of your research, decide, and then bring your decision back here. |

In an previous forum (three years ago) I was told for the fish I like including the oscars I would need a 55 which basicaly was what my father got for me. I mean Id like to stock it with either Oscars or red devils or black belts or any of the south american cichlids. But its really hard to find something that wont just sit there. If its something that would sit there I already know my answers. Origianlly I had three set up Ideas firstly the oscar which obviously you told me I cant do and I see your point. So then I thought of turtle with smallers cichlids and I was told I shouldnt mix cichlids with turtle so then I decided about a black belt cichlid or a texas cichlid but some sites say yes and some say no. And I dont know which site to believe. Both species which are smaller than my tank :/ I like angelfish but something tells me to not go with them. Same with the discuss I wanted one originally before the oscar but then I heard theyre pretty sensitive and any screw up and they will quickly die. Sorry though its almost college for me so everythings been stressful and Ived been trying to have everything set. |

| I am a college student, so I know stress.
But this forum will not make decisions for you. Making too many posts for the same thing and asking the same questions will make members stop looking at your posts.
I'm not sure exactly what you want your fish to do, they swim around the tank, that's all they can do. None just "sit there". |

@ amanda:Yeah but some fish just hide all the time and do nothing at all unless your not there which is not the purpose for a fishtank. |
