just wondering how everyone feeds their cichlids like type of food and variations through out a week ?

I feed them 3 small feedings a day. 2 of good quality cichlid pellets/sticks and another with vegetables/fruits. So, thats about 30% vegetable diet... Mine dont like romain lettuce too much, but they love papaya; so give a try with different vegetables until you find one they like.

i'm not sure my diet is 'perfect' but they are all growing well, have good colour, and never had any problem with bloat.

About once or twice a week I put a clip of romaine lettuce in the tanks or zuchinni. Then one feeding is veggie flakes, the other is a color enhancing flake.
I have raised many cichlids on it, and fry.

They need a very very low protein diet. Stay away from frozen or freeze dried bloodworms, brine shrimp, etc. They do not eat that in the wild.

Also let the algae grow on the back wall of the tank and rocks. They eat it as well.

ah ok i just was curious how to change up the diet from day to day i have been kinda doing that but no romain yet only had them for close to a week so......
