Can you ID these fish?

Hello fish enthusiasts. I'm new to the board but I've had fish for ages but never did alot of research into the technical names for all the cichlids and was wondering if anyone could ID these two fish . The blue one I've had for about four years along with another blue one that died a few months ago. The other cichlid was just introduced to the tank yesterday and they seem to get along fairly decent except for the blue one occasionally poking at the other fish.

looks to me like that the blue one is a socolofi and the yellowish one is a kenyi but not positive on the kenyi decision.

angela will be here soon and will identify your fish

they look great nice colours

Thanks for the ID! I've had similar blue cichlids before that had the yellow dots on the bottom fin, does that determine gender or is it just specific to certain cichlids? I notice on some of the other socolofi's some have the vertical stripes where my fish doesn't have them or they are barely noticeable.

Can you tell from the pics if the blue one is male or female?

socolofis sometimes lack the egg spots.

sorry wouldnt know if it was male or female its very hard to figure it out but nice pics its very hard to take pics of cichlids as they move so fast

The kenyi doesn't move too fast, unless he's chasing the flake food or being chased by the socolofi. Once in a while the kenyi will stand his ground but the socolofi does the shakey dance and puffs his mouth up and shows it's dominance.

A few more shots of the two.

I used photobucket to host it. The file had to be under 100mb to upload to photobucket. Once hosted it was just a copy of the link and it posted right up. Thanks and good luck.
