At least two of the infant Kenyi in my tank have been adopted by two paired-off Convicts and their growing fry.

Here's a pic of one of them inside the Convict's bunker, swimming with some of his/her foster-siblings as Mom and Dad Convict watch from the top.

The second pic is of another "infant" Kenyi that remains closer to his/her parents, exploring around with a "Teen" Convict who has been on his own lately (from the other paired-off Convicts).

Hm, I wonder if the Convict parents will tell the babes they were adopted. What if the fry find out on their own? You could end up with some fish with serious identy crises as juvies...

I hope they don't interbreed. I noticed the parents of the Convicts protecting their biological and foster fry from other fish, including the Kenyi parents... Interesting parenting behavior.
