Malawi's and . . . .?!!

I have 4 Malawi's currently in my tank of the rock dwelling variety and was planning on getting some more. Am I only restricted to getting some more of the same or can I get away with anything else that they may be compatible with. Taking into account the malawi's aggressive behaviour, I have decided against frontosa's and peacocks, etc. Defintely need to get a few more as need to share the agression out alittle more amongst the fish as at the moment one or two are getting bullied a bit too much by one that seems to be ruling the roost at the moment. Anybody body know if I can also get a bristlenose in their aswell as could do with a bit of help cleaning the glass..

My Malawi always picked my BN's to death, i'd say no.

Depends on species as to what else you can add.

I wouldn't add any plecos. BN are SA fish and have different water requirements than Malawis. Who should be in a species only with just Malawis.

I've kept peacocks with mbuna before without trouble.

I appreciate all the suggestions but has anybody got any suggestions of what can be kept with them as opposed to what can't be kept with them?!!!!

I have a flametail peacock pair and ruben pair (peacocks) with a hongi red top breeding group (they are mbunas) they are doing wonderful in a tank together. My hongi breed wonderfully for me, I have group of fry already and a holding mother again. There isn't any picking at all in the tank.
I would keep lesser agressive mbuna w/ peacocks, like the afras, lab species, acei, I would stay away from your met species, mel species, and more of your higher agressive guys.

Thank you Allie for the links, found them reaaly helpful. Tank size is 120 litres and have 4 6 malawis at the moment. About 2" long, including 2 electric yellow, 1 golden malawi, 1 dolphin, 1 golden malawi and 2 still need to identify. Am thing of adding 3 red tail botia and maybe a redtailed black shark.

I wouldn't mix lake malawi cichilds with anything other than lake malawi cichlids they aren't compatable w/ most of their own species let a lone any other fish.
