first time for the sajica's .. they've been great, but i think they were very stressed by the other fish.. i am 80% sure theyve eaten the eggs..

the krib female is still spending 75% of her time or more in the coconut shell, the male guards the area.. especially if she comes out to feed. i hope they are more successful although this is also their first time..

keyhole female is not ready to breed, i can see she is not plump enough.. the male is not pressuring her too much luckily..

we'll see what happens..

the kribs are out and about.. even the female now.. last two days shes been swimming around.. made me think she had given up on the eggs. or something.. But then i noticed the male was still guarding the coconut pot. every so often...

So, i decided to quickly investigate.. and we got a clump of baby kribensis. :-)

good news after all.

the behaviour of the parents as of now is more that they are spending time away from the breeding area so as not to attract attention it seems, occasionally taking trips back and forth..
ill keep you all updated and hopefully some pictures at some point. although ill probably wait for the parents to escort the babies out rather than lift the coconut shell as i dont want any problems.. patience is the number one rule of fishkeeping they say
