Adding a German Ram

I lost a tiger barb about a month ago(the dork shredded his fins in the intake valve of the filter) and I was thinking about replacing him. The shoal(6) and my siamese Ae's seem to do alright w/o him. I got to thinking, why not a blue ram? They seem to be a decent size, they're not aggressive, but is there anything I should know before i commit to this idea?

Rams need SUPER clean water, so a lot of water changes are highly recommended. i do 10%-ish 2x a week or more.

I wouldnt go as far as saying they are agressive, but definitely territorial. if another fish is in their area, they will chase them out.

I would recommend against the combination, as the Tiger Barbs would probably pick at the Ram. Rams are very sensative fish and do not do well with stress. It may work if you have a really large school of Barbs, or a really large tank. The Rams do best in warm water above 80 degrees, which is above the recommended temp for Barbs.
