Cichlid Retired

I am very new to this . I have a 26g tank with 4 Texas Cichlids, 4 Albino Cichlids, & 8 Convicts. They have been together about a month. This morning a pair of convicts decided to lay eggs in a little upside down shell, what do I do now, do I take this pair & their eggs out to another tank or do I have to more the other fish from this tank? How long does it take the eggs to hatch etc? Any information would be gratefully appreciated.

Convicts are pretty mean fish. I would remover the pair and eggs (keep in water) to their own tank. I recommend a 20g at least, but I had a pair who I transferred to a 10g and they did fine. If you see and aggression with the pair put the male back in the main tank.
You need a huge tank to keep all of those cichlids in. A 26 gallon is much too small...you could keep a pair of convicts in there. I would take the Texas cichlids out all together as they need a huge tank, they get 10" each.
