My yellow lab was active four the first four days then I did a 10% water change now he stays i the rocks all the time. do you think I should have two so they can play. I have In my tank 2 acei 2 cichlids that i can,t class they are about 1inch I got them out of assorted tank. 55 gal

do you know about cycling your tank? your info says you have ammonia so i guess its not done yet even if you have heard the news..
otherwise he probably just staked out his territory..you should have more cichlids in your tank because as they grow they get more aggressive and the more fish in the tank the more the aggression is spread out!

Im sorry I din't update my info my tank has 0 ammonia it is cycled.

nice! thats pretty much all my cichlids do, the dominate ones chill in or outside their caves waiting for any of the other ones to come near his turf and chase em away. if action is what your looking for your going to need more then 5 so they can interact with each other. in my 55 i have 11 cichlids and probably should get more from what ive learned at fishlore..
