I haven't gotten any good pics of my synos yet. i had 5 petricola shipped with teh initial order, however 4 of them died within 2 days of being introduced to the tank. I suspect they did not travel well as when I got them their bellies were red and looked like they'd been bruised. the biggest of the 5 is the only survivor. I have since gone and picked up 3 3" Multi's and he has taken up very well with them, even though is about 1.5" smaller than they are. They take him along wherever they go so I feel much better about him. I can't afford to buy more of the petri's as they are -very- expensive, for me at least. I've got 12 more female msobo's that are supposed to be delivered today, as I'm quite certain I have almost all males that were in the primary shipment. I see 4 that I believe are females bu the color variations they have. Once I confirm how many males there are, I'll likely have to get rid of 6 of them. We'll see how it ends up. I also have 5 bristlenose coming this week as well. Everyone, except the syno's are 2" or less right now, and are growing and coloring up wonderfully. I have 1 excessively dominat male white top who tries to take over the tank, but for some reason the multis and female msobo's put him back in to check if he tries to claim anything larger than the cave area he has so far. they are fine with him having that space, but refuse to let him claim anything else. the tank will be moderately overstocked to ease aggression levels, rather giving more targets than allowing one to be singled out. I'm doing water changes every 5 fays, feeding red zebra twice a day and a pinch in the evening prior to lights out )for the synos.. those boys need to stay nice n fat

), and keeping the water about 79-80*.
Everyone is incredibly active and fun to watch. At night, I'll turn off lights on 1 side of the tank and watch everyone go to the lit side before feeling comfortable with the darker side. Once they get comfortable, the majority of them form up and will school (everyone that is as far as the cichlids are concerned) and they will go back and forth a long the backside of the tank, up and down in a figure eight. It's incredible to watch. While this goes on, the synos will come to the front of the tank and do the dance the yoyo loaches do and go up n down the front of the glass while playing around. Every now and then they'll swim to the back and interrupt the schooling going on, but the cichlids just bypass around the big guys and continue on with their figure eights. Working on the wife now for a 125gallon around xmas I hope
