I have a Pearl Cichlid.... (Geophagus Brasiliensis) and I want to know how to tell if its a boy or a girl however dont have a clue how to do this??
Can anyone help me?

If I'm not mistaken they pretty much look the same and have to be vented, or wait till they spawn to be sure of their gender.
Yo do know it can get to be 12 inches long

It may not be a brasiliensis... We have dealt with several importers that have told us that in the importing world if they don't know what a geophagus is they will usually label it as a brasiliensis and sell it as such since it is one of the high dollar geophagus. True brasiliensis are not as common of a fish as people are lead to believe.
