blue regal peacocks

I was thinking about buying a pair of blue regal peacocks. $30.00 for both, 1 male and 1 female. Can anybody tell me is that good? And how hard are they to care for?

If you dont want them, I will buy them. I think it is a real good price for them. Do they have anymore? Where is the seller located? Do they ship. Do you have any pics of them?
Good luck man, let me know if theres any more available.

I found them on www.aquabid.com
It is a great website. It's like ebay, only it's all fish stuff. Not sure if they are still there. But you should go register on that site anyways. All kinds of fish. Try it out. Keep me posted if you find anything you like. I never got them b/c nobody ever replied to my post until you did. Wish you would of come along sooner. Good luck.

Sorry - I didn't see your post. That was probably a good deal...depending on shipping. Peacocks (mixed) are $50 a piece at one of the LFS.

If you remember who sold it, you can email and ask if they have more to list.

If they are above 2 inch size yes that is a good price. They are beautiful peacocks. Peacock cichlids are hardy fish, they have to be kept in the 7.6-8.3ish ph, med hard - hard water, w/ sand substrate/small gravel (I have some small crushed coral mixed w/ sand) they like a little rock but not like the mbuna cichlids.
Not to mention you don't want to mix them w/ any haps or mbuna cichilds. The haps like to crossbreed and teh mbuna are very aggressive and will beat up on a peacock cichlid. The peacock cichids will just sit there and take the abuse until they are beat to death/stressed to death.

Thanks for getting back to me guys. Too bad it wasn't sooner. But oh well, not a big deal, I decided to go with convicts instead. They should be here any day. I can't wait.
If I remember correctly the shipping was going to be $30.00 for the peacocks. I just love aquabid.
