Anyone have any experience with this little fish? I'm thinking of getting a trio (1M/2F). They seem like a neat little fish, and even though I've never had a mouthbrooder, they seem like a good beginner I was thinking of doing a 3D background, with a dark sand for substrate. If anyone can give me a site or two with information on them it would be great too. Thanks,

I have some slate caves made, and was thinking of some low light plants. Do anyone know if they'll dig up plants? Thanks CO

According to fishchannel.com: They make excellent, colorful additions to the lower regions of a planted community tank... You can maintain a group of one or two males and several females in a planted community tank, where they will happily go about their business without bothering other fish or digging up the plants.

There's a lot of info at that site - COBettaCouple gave you a good resource. I am going to bookmark it for future research fo my "kids".
