what kind of cichlids do I have?

Here are pics of my new cichlids in my 30 gallon set up. But I don't know what kind they are. The pics of the bigger one came out good but I can't get a good one of the two smaller ones they are an orangish peach color. Also what other fish would be good to put in there if any.

The first fish is a Nimbochromis venustus. They are aggressive. http://www.cichlidforum.com/profiles...es.php?id=1160
The second one I cannot be 100% sure about but if it is ALL bright yellow it is a yellow lab.

Thank you! I know he is agressive because he likes to chase the other two around. The other two are more of an peachy orange color than a yellow. They can't mate can they? I don't know how to tell the sex of them I just kind of assumed the bigger one was a male and the smaller ones were females but I don't know.

They shouldn't mate but are able to interbreed. Can you get a better pix of the peachy yellow fish?
Does it look like this? http://www.cichlidforum.com/profiles/species.php?id=713

A 30 gallon tank is much too small for venustus, or any other fish that grows to 10"+. If you really want to keep African cichlids from Lake Malawi you're much better off with at least a 75 gallon tank. There are a few smaller species that will work in a 30, but you would need to add many more rocks than you currently have. A number of P. demasoni (10-12) and a few yellow Lab's will work in a 30. It's best to research the fish before buying them.

I didn't buy them, I got them free off of craigslist. That is why I was asking what kind they were so that I could care for them properly. And I will be transferring them to a 75 gallon thanks to link Allie gave me. I don't understand why some people have to sound so condescending on this forum.

On a side note I am getting my 75 gallon for free God Bless craigslist! I thought I would add some fish to it Have any ideas. I read you should slightly overstock a cichlid tank so I imagine three of them are not enough.

You get a 10 for giving fish a caring home.....you gotta give toddnbecka a break, they are fish bums too....I bet they didn't know how they sounded....AND didn't bother to read your post carefully, but then you didn't say you got them from craigslist till after they posted....so I would have to say it was a bit confusing.

Super about your 75 gallon tank! FREE OMG! Have fun with it.

You're right about this post I didn't mention that. So I am sorry it's just sometimes when you ask a question on here some of the replies make you feel like you are inferior or something. If we knew we wouldn't be asking you know what I mean? No harm done. I just want to take care of my fishies. I definitly have Mts! I'm going to have a 75 gallon a 30 gallon a 10 gallon and a 2.5 gallon oh my! the excitement!
