Do anyone think Kordon Amquel plus-8oz works well for african cichlids when one of my cichlids are stress out and dont eat and dont swim as normal? i just put the cichlid into another small tank what can i do to prevent him go back to normal? what kind of medication should i use to make him feel better?

Please Help!

I would def use the amquel! The other brands like stress coat, stress zymem, start right that you ad to your tank lower the pH in the water (they are acidic). The amquel is great for cichlids, it is supose to boost the ph. and it will help w/ the nitrites in the tank.

How old are your tanks? Have they been fully cycled? What kind of filitration are you using?
W/ african cichlids you want to over do the filter systems for example we are using a canister filter made for a 60 gallon tank in our 55 + a penguin biowheel made for a 75... I also prob over do it but I do water changes very often. They have huge bioloads, and your 6 in a 30 is not a bad number however, I would make sure you have proper filitration, and are testing the water. If your tank is not cycled because its a new tank, then that can have a lot to do w/ a sick fish.

Same as steveantela1 said about the cycling, filtration and tanks age. I also have over filtration; canister filter rated for 75gal and a TetraTec PF300 rated upto 60Gal on a 46Gal for 5 Cichlids (overkill i know). I would definately test the water if you haven't recently to see what the water specs are. Some tests will even have a PH tester to see if that might be an issue. I wouldn't add anything until you know more.
