I need help! ASAP
I have a 35g tank with 3 African fish in it, 2 - 2" Melanochromis M. cyanerhabdos and 1 - 4" Labidochromis L. sp Permutt. I just noticed that one of the Melanochromis is a bit bloated around the face and butt area and after taking a closer look, I saw that it had a few eggs in its mouth. I'm new at this and have no idea what I should, or should not do.
I called a fish store and they told me that I should let them hatch and then put them in a separate tank. Problem is I only have one tank. What should I do? If I leave them in, will the other fish kill them? I have a 1 gallon fish bowl and an extra air pump, should I put them in there? If so, doesn't the water need to be cycled? Could I use some of the water and gravel from my 35g tank and will it need a heater? What about a filter? And how often should I change the water?
I absolutely have no idea what to do. Can some one please help?
