I want to apply for a job at my local Petsmart, and I need to know about cichlids. I have a book containing them, but there are so many in there. What common cichlids should I research (that would be there)? And is there anything else I need to know.
I would think a basic knowledge of the different species of cichlids would be helpful (african, south & central american) so you help customers with compatibility. Some of the fish that come to mind when I'm looking at their fish are oscars, parrot fish, and an assortment of african cichlids.
my petsmart holds oscars assortment of african chiclids parrots jack dempseys, red devil, midas, green terror, black convict, rams im positive i missed some but those are the basics im glad to see a petsmart employee with knowledge
They also carry Mexican Firemouths, jewels, and Pink Convicts. I know that of the Africans they carry electric blues, yellow labs, kenyi, and assorted peacocks.
