What can Yellow Lab Hybrid go with?

Hi I already posted this, but not to many have been reading this, so hpoefully putting this on the Freshwater Begginners forum will help. This is just a plan for the future, but what fish can go with Yellow lab hybrid in say a 40 gallon tank.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mbuna

This article is not being posted for its information, just the pictures and list of commonly kept fish that are in the mbuna group. Mbunas are cichlids from lake Malawi in Africa. They are some of the most vibrantly colored of the freshwater fishes.

Dino could definately tell ya more about mbuna than I could, but I hope the pictures and list of fish helped some.

I think that he should put more fish in a 40g. From my experience with Mbuna, I'd put 10 fish at least in 40g. Have plenty of hiding spots and don't over feed. More fish evens out the aggression a lot...if you find the tank gets cloudy do water changes or add more filtration.

I agree w/ the last post you def want to overstock your cichlids to lower the agression level. But make sure you get one heck of a filitration system. I just bought a canister filter on top of our reg overhead filter to take care of the extra waste.
