SWilkins is sending me some fish and I should be getting them tomorrow. The 120 got a big ole waterchange, cleaned the filter, moved stuff around and got a good scrub down. I'm super excited about getting them. My camera is charged and ready. I hope they arrive safe and sound!!.

Well I don't know if Sherry wants me to let the cat out of the bag..lol..I'd hate to spoil a surprise.. But you'll know soon hopefully....I just checked hesr and they are in her town on the delivery truck..Sooo that's good news!!!..She did hers electronically and I'm wondering if maybe that's why the fish coming to me haven't been updated..But if they don't come in the mail I'm calling the post office to see if I can go hunt them down and pick them up.

we actually paid extra to track ours..and they never updated at all until we got them...grr like a total rip off for that ....im waiting patiently with you all tho

Yeah I always pay extra but I guess you can't actually get tracking unless it's express mail. the only thing you can get on priority is delivery confirmation which on all the ones I've sent out they update the day they get them..lol...at least i know they are in the town and being delivered though.

I'm SOOOO glad you have them!!!. I did know they would be faded..When I got them shipped to me they were grey!!. I was kinda worried but they color up REALLY fast. I'm just sooo glad they made it safe and sound.

Oh they are not gray that is for sure. They were pinkish-orangy but I see some bright color coming in now....boy that was fast!!! They were pretty to begin with but man they are getting prettier by the minute. WOW talk about bright color you really have to see these fish in person....pics do not do the justice. I will get pics once they have settled in...I'm not stressing them anymore if at all possible.

They are a very beautiful fish!!!. You will die when you see how they look when they are breeding!!. BRIGHT RED. I'll be waiting for the pics whenever they are ready for them. Thanks Sherry!!. I know Mom and Dad will have a great home with you!!.

Mine did not get here today. . Well they didn't come with my mail and they usually do so I'm thinking I will get them tomorrow. The good news is the weather is great here so I'm just hoping and praying they will be fine!!!. I called the Post Office and asked If I could go pick them up wherever they were and she said it would be impossible to find them and I just needed to wait. . Sooo here I am waiting..What a stressful day and night and morning it will be. But I'm keeping my hopes high!!. Very weird she got hers though..It's the same distance..lol..Like Sherry said that's USPS for ya.

I hate this feeling!!. But it's part of it I guess. I'll be posting asap tomorrow. I'm not worried about them not getting here I just hope tomorrow isn't too late. I keep checking my porch just incase but nothing yet.

It is supposedly cheaper to do your postage online...but I don't think so it is just easier for me to do it and then drop anything off at the PO but I mail stuff to Megan all the time. All you have to do is setup an account with USPS online and you are good to go.

With the online account you don't have to pay extra for the tracking number...don't know why but you don't. Not that the tracking number always helps very much.

I'm just sick about this. Cesch packed her babies beautifully and they were fine when they got here. When I packed the babies going to her one punctured the breather bag so I panicked. I changed from breather bags to double bagging the old way with bag buddies (thanks BB) and 1/3 water and 2/3 air and then in two super thick bags inside in a huge box with loads of paper in between the bags. All I could think of was them arriving to Cesch in breather bags with no water and so I sent them in regular bags. Now I wish I had done breather bags. That is one thing about cichlids and their dang pointy, sharp fins. I am not going to make it till they get to you it is driving me bonkers!!!

It is fun to share!!. I just love it. I really am keeping my hopes high!! I know they are strong and healthy fish so I'm thinking they will be just fine!!. I just can't wait to get them here and get them in my tank..The 120 is just calling for them.

I know you pack your kids great too Sherry!!!..Your snails were snug as bugs in a rug....You did the right thing bagging them the way you did!!!. I would have freaked if my guys punctured the bags..I don't have normal bags..lol..You did perfect and I know you packed them awesome. They will do great!!. The weather is perfect and they are probably just enjoying the ride...Bag buddies are great!!. I use them also!!. It just gives me peace of mind I guess.

They are very healthy fish...probably hungry right now. They soaked me while I was trying to put them into bags and I mean really soaked me...I had to go change when I got them all bagged. The jacks are gorgeous going from blue to black depending on their mood and the rainbows go from a golden to a black depending on their mood. The rainbows are supposed to get more color as they age so we shall see. The rainbows are a bit more skiddish than the jacks but I just love their colors.

I used breather bags once and i reverted back to the thicker bags...I had a punctured one also...so dont think they wont be fine sherry!! bag buddies are awesome also....nice visual of getting soaked LOL ...seems cons are no different and africans are even worse!!!!

we are all waiting patiently and cant wait for everyone to arrive

Thank you for that Cesch. That does make me feel a bit better but I will not be okay until they are there with you. One of your breather bags was punctured but apparently not too bad because only the newspaper was wet and the fish were still in water. Cichlid fins are the sharpest little things!!!

Well I have both types of bags and of course some that I recycled (trying to be green here). Snails just don't seem to puncture bags like fish do. Hopefully they are just enjoying their trip and wondering when lunch is!!!

I tell you what when those fish were throwing water on me I really think they were aiming it directly at me oh and the floor too...but my floor is really clean there LOL.
