LOL..that is a good visual..lol... TO be honest Im' scared of big fish..lol..I know the blood red jewels aren't big but they are for me so hubby did it!!.. I held the bag and got them all ready but he netted them and put them in the bag for me over his lunch break, which is 30 min..lol..Thank goodness he did because I would have been a mess!!..

I know I will!!. Im so excited to get them here..There are more then a few coming so it's a good thing I have a 120 and a 55..lol...I'm sure they will fit right in!! and Jeff is SUPER excited about getting them, finally he says, we can get some fish we can actually see..lol.. Sherry how big are they now??

I was SICK SICK last night, don't know what the deal was so I just woke up..lol..Girls are with Grandma thank goodness. I just woke up in the middle of the night sick as could be but I'm better today not 100% but better..Now I'm just waiting on my mail to get here!!.

I hope you feel better soon...it is probably "fish shipping sickness" and will be over once everyone has calmed down.

Shawnie is right, as usual, Jacks are just unbelievable! They are really beautiful fish and most are great parents (I did have one set see their babies as a snack when they became free swimmers). I love them so much I have added gold Jacks to my collection...hee hee and found out there is a red Jack now I gotta find that.

I told the BRJs they were not in Kansas anymore but they just did not appreciate the humor in it course I do have a bit of a strange sense of humor . They are doing great and eating very well.

USPS doen't have updated info on them yet...So hopefully they are going to be on my door step in a few min. I think what you told the BRJ is hilarious!!. They must not have a sense of humor at all...I was dreaming about the fish right before I woke up and was sick so it very well could have been I suppose.. They aren't here yet.

This is what makes me nervous about ever shipping fish...
I see so many I want... Including some of your BRJ's and Swilkins EBJD's...

Okay I am trying to deal with this but not doing so well as you can see. I shipped a guy some ramshorn snails (feeder snails) out at the same time I shipped out these fish. The snails were going to Cartersville, Georgia, about an hour from me and there is no update on them either. I don't know if this makes me feel better or worse

I can say that I was up until 2:00 a.m. this morning doing my first totally planted tank....hummm could not sleep for some reason ya think!!! It looks like it needs a bit of rearranging IMO but I am not a good aquascaper. I love planted tanks but I just can't seem to put things in the right place. Sorry for the change of subject I am just a mess!!!

NOPE!!..I called the post office and something weird is going on..I PMd sherry and Im' waiting on a response..We'll see what happens..She also said that if it's a big box they bring it after the route sometimes but who knows.

This has got to be because of the flooding. Everything around here is just a mess. Roads closed, businesses closed, schools closed, houses underwater, entire schools underwater...I have never seen it flood like this here...never. It had been raining so bad that the house (sort of behind us) burned to the ground and we never even heard the fire trucks. I have no clue how it burned in all that rain but it did. Somehow we ended up with burns on our back deck and on our roof but nothing major. I must say this has to be just how Shawnie and BB felt and it is just horrible. I will always from now on mail fish out overnight or express...no more priority for me and my babies....that or you can just come and pick them up and any of you are welcome to do that. Sorry for the long post...my next step is a padded cell on the sixth floor at FMC.

Hang in there, Sherry. It's not your fault that the USPS has gone bonkers. Have your snails been delivered yet or are they adding to the stress?

OH my goodness Sherry that is CRAZY!!!!. I'm sooo happy you guys are safe and still have your home!!. That sounds like a mess. I'm sorry you guys are dealing with all that..My thoughts are with you guys!!! I'm sure all that def has a impact on the USPS. We just need to keep our fingers crossed and pray that they get here sooner then later. BB is right it's not anyone's fault (except he usps..lol.) You have done everything right and there is nothing you could have done differently. I have had such good luck with Priority and we didn't see Shawnie's post until after we sent thems, our hearts were in the right place. Now it's out of our hands and we just have to hope for the best possible outcome, which is me getting that box asap with a bunch of healthy fish!!. I'm still hopeful and you should be too!!.

We are fine really...just had a little scare is all. I feel for everybody that is going through losing their homes and all the horrible loss due to the flooding and they are def in my prayers.

I just have to keep reminding myself that I packed them with care and love and they were all very healthy when they left me. Not like some of the fish some of us have rescued from deaths door and saved for them to go on and have happy lives with us. I put one fish to a bag, bag buddies, and extra air in the bags, all after a super tank clean the night before. I did not have a box big enough for all of them to fit in so Tommy picked one up for me at the PO. I would not have sent them otherwise. They were probably ticked at me because they were hungry but I promise you not starving by any means when they left here....none of them looked the least bit thin. People send fish from all over the world everyday with no problem so these should be fine.

Yup I agree completely!!!. Couldn't have said it better myself. ..Thank you for packing them with love and care. ..I know you wouldn't do it any other way though!!...The mom BRJ was looking pretty fat when I sent her so I was thinking she was full of eggs..lol..I fasted them for the previous 2 days..so i know she had no food in her tummy unless she ate some of they fry food, which I guess is possible. Is her belly kinda yellowish??. I really bet they spawn within a week or two for you. Then you'll be giving away baby jewels..lol..Hopefully they won't spawn until all mine are gone..lol..

Well I was worried because I only fasted them for around 24 hours but now I am kinda glad....least I know they are not starving....they really are used to eating regularly. You know how we are with our babies...yes I do sometimes tend to overfeed I can't help it with all the begging they do but I pay with water changes in return.

The mom BRJs tummy is normal so far. They are both really checking things out. I think they kinda like their new home. They are not shy at all. They come right up to you when you feed them and it looks like they are just saying hi to you. What all did you have in with them deco-wise so maybe I can make them feel more at home. Right now they have flower pots, rocks, and gravel.

wow girls my heart is so with you both!!!!!! I was thinking about you all day at work today ...kept thinking I need online at the salon !!!!!!! but please dont loose faith .....our guys were in bags from thurs am until late mon after noon..we had 28F temps at night and early morning for 2 of those days!!!!!! sad to say I did loose 3bn's but I still have, and thriving well, 3 cons and 3 bns !!!!! im so pulling for you and your babies and I feel your anxiety and nerves ....good luck with them and you all had no clue this would happen!!! neither did we

Thanks Shawnie....It's very nerve racking. I just keep thinking I wish i knew where they were, I'd gladly drive and get them. . I'm just hoping for the best and I know Sherry did a AWESOME job packing them so I think they will be fine. I just hope I get them tomorrow!!!..IF I don't they will have a crazy lady down at the post office.
