Can't decide what I will do with my Chinese Algae Eater

Always seeing it harassing the goldfish and small carp during meal time.
Should I just ignore it since I only see that happening during meal time?

I am so tempting to put in the same pot with my rainbow shark.
It will be cruel though as I know the rainbow shark will kill it.

Anyway, I think I will released it if it get any bigger.
I suspect it killed one of my panda.

Any of the shark minnow spieces (rts.rbs or black shark) don't like anything basicaly the same shape as themselves and will constantly hassle if not kill your CAE. Try and take it back to your LFS if they will take it,Good luck

what size tank is he in? not sure if you know but he can get up to a foot big...and unless you give a varied diet of veggies and high quality flakes/sinking pellets.....if you have no algae in the tank, it will make him more aggressive.... hes going to continue to harrass and eventually suck the slime coat off your fish..please dont be cruel to put him with the shark....either one could be killed from aggression

Do you mean the corals as marine organisms
Are you trying to make a glowing black angel?
Just kidding!!!

Thanks guy, I think I will dump it into my neighbour huge pond when it grow abit bigger(2 and a half inch at the moment) or when it become a killer.
It is currently in a huge giant plant pot with 3 fancy gold fish, 1 comet, 1 koi, 5 glofish, 3 angelfish and 4 pandas.

All the fish are pretty young except the glofish which are adult size.
The comet and koi will have to go as well when they get bigger.

How big is this huge giant plant pot? The three fancy goldfish should be in at least 40 gallons by themselves, the comet needs a minimum of 20 gallons, the koi needs a huge pond since they can grow even larger than the goldfish. Also, the goldfish, comet, and koi are all temperate water fish and should not be mixed with tropical fish like the glofish, angelfish, and panda (cories?). The comet and the koi can be housed together, but they should not be housed with the slower swimming fancy goldies. The cae can go in with any of the groupings, but would do better with the temps of the tropical tank. Although he would do okay with the fancy goldfish since they like a tad bit warmer than the comet or the koi (but not as warm as the tropicals). Cae's are a big fish in a small body. I would not recommend more than one in anything smaller than a 75 gallon. In my opinion, they should not be in anything smaller than a 30-40 gallon tank. They need at least two places to hide. Cae's also prefer meatier foods as they grow up and they have huge appetites. I feed mine a carnivore sinking wafer. He leaves my two sailfin plecos and my three cories and all my goldfish alone. With the stock you have, you should really split them into two - or even three - tanks. The tropicals can all be in one tank, the fancy goldies can be in a tank, and the comet and the koi can share a tank - although the koi will very quickly outgrow any tank and should be moved to a large pond. The comet can also be moved to a pond and do quite well.
