cherry shrimp in a community tank?

I have an opportunity to get cherry shrimp from my plant guy. are they compatible in either tank?

They would likely be a snack in both tanks. You could try but I wouldn't be to surprised if didn't work out. Too bad shrimp can be so fun to watch.

they'd definitely be goners in your 55 between the angels and loaches, they might be safer in your 20 depending on the betta

In the 55g, the angels (and probably the loaches) would snack on them.

In the 20g, it probably could avoid the betta (the plants will help this), which is the only fish in that tank that's likely to eat it. Once it's big enough, its shell will protect it from being eaten, and it will hide while it's molting.

as long as your fish have small mouths, and the shrimp are a reasonable size (2cm) they should be OK.

but don't count on having babies in there, cause they won't stand a chance, even against month old guppies

They should be fine aslong as the betta is good but as others said, i wouldnt put them in the 55G.

Maybe you should start with a small colony of about 8 and see if they breed, i breed my cherry shrimp along side my guppies in my 8G
