Flour Tailed Baker

A single cherry barb died in my tank about a week ago before I moved. Everything seems stable with my tank now; so I would like to add another cherry to complete the school again. The tank has 5 tigers, 4 Cherry, 1 Bristlenose Plecostomus, and 2 Bamboo Shrimp. How would I go about adding the Cherry without getting him killed?

Well some people say that turning the lights off and rearranging the decorations in the tank help to cut down on the aggressiveness form the other fish for the first few days.

I keep golds, cherries and tigers, and I don't think you have ANYTHING to worry about. One thing to considder is the sex ratio of your fish. Barbs are best kept close to an even m/f split, with a couple extra females being ideal. I've always found it important to have a couple large mature females in the school - IME they maintain order in the school and are better at handling the advances of sexually maturing males.
