I had 6 Cherry barbs, 2 males and 4 females, and one female died from dropsy. This was a while ago, and the others all seem fine. Is it normal to only have one die and thats it? Everyone is fine, except one female is bigger than the others, but it doesn't seem that anything is wrong, she hangs out at the bottom a lot, but I do see her swimming around a lot too, so I'm not worried.
Yes that is normal I've had it happen. Females are larger than male cherry barbs. Having a large female who acts normal just means that you've got a big girl.
