Moonlight madness?

I think the recent full moon affected my cherry barbs. I've never seen the males do more than briefly spar, but yesterday two of them got into a full blown battle - lip locking, biting etc. - that lasted quite awhile.

The males are so camera shy and fast I can never get pics of them, but they were so occupied with each other, they ignored the flash.

Your barbs look really good! Only one of my males is looking even close to that good as of now. My other male has always been very skinny and wirey.

Thanks! I got them last winter as skinny, pale and small babies.

What do you feed yours? I find a good variety - including frozen bloodworms, shrimp etc - makes them nice and big and really red!

I feed them flake food and freeze-dried blood worms about twice a week. They still look way better than when I first got them.
