I got one cherry barb

I got one cherry barb today. Since i was on the look out for a school cherry barbs, going to my lfs today they had only 1. Took it anyway as i thought if it could last alone at the lfs it should be able to be ok by me until i can get more. But now she is staying at the bottom hiding in the plants whereas at the lfs she was swimming about.

Just feeling stressed for the moment i hope.

I suggest you really try to find more - at least one more female and a male would be nice too.

One cherry barb will never do ANYTHING except hide and hover at the bottom of the tank and come out only at feeding time, if even then.

Thanks. Yeah she's hovering about but seems to be in good health. My lfs is getting new stock next week, hopefully they'l have cherry barbs.

Hi!

I have a school. I had a male/female pair for months in a 8 gallon tank. I now have 6 in my 47 gallon (See link in sig). The pair seemed happy... And the female was quite harrased!
