I was at Petco the other day and they had some very red Cherry Barbs and some more light and kind of orangeish. Is that the typical males are brighter or were the redder ones better?

I'm pretty sure the orange-y ones are females. Males should be very red, but sometimes are paler in petstore tanks.

Right; the redder ones are males, the paler ones females. One of the more easy fish to sex.

Ok I was just wondering cause there was such a large color difference, just double checking that they were all healthy and such.
