painted animals

I know this happens way too much in the fish world,but this is just plain stupid

The funniest one in my opinion is the second one. It is terrible but the fur will grow back and the color will fade but in fish it won't.

Is this a permanent color on these animals? Or does it wash away after a bath? Besides, I think some of them - if not all - are altered photos (the animals could have been painted in an image editing program - it's easy to do). But if it's real, I agree: totally ridiculous.

It seems I read the paint fades after a couple weeks... so besides being stupid looking, it get's expensive repainting them over and over

Says they re-paint every three months as the fur grows out. So do the trim the ends that still have paint on them then re-paint. Sounds to me like they've got more money than sense.
