| My little girl Here she is...some of you have seen her before. This is Gabby not very enthused about all the paint cans around her basket. One is of her sleeping on my bed and one of construction mess and all new aquarium supplies under the baby grand.
Have a good evening!

| She's a cutie Harpua!
I play piano. It's a wonderful way for me to relax. I read music and I usually practice an hour a day. I can't play by ear. My folks made me take lessons from the time I was 9 for many years and I've played ever since. I'm so thankful to them for it!

| Thanks Lucy. We'll have a fire in the pit outside...I have lots of bug spray on hand, tons of food (thank you Chef!) All the neighbors will come, (that will be entertaining in itself lol) so even more food! #1 Rule in this neighborhood "bring your own drinks to dinners and parties". I'll play a song or two Bring a tissue!

Ken | Lucky you Ken!!!!
My mom asked me to take piano lessons when I was about 9-10 years old. I refused, and my parents allowed me to do so. It's been one of my greatest regrets in life honestly. I would have been playing for 20 years now. I started the clarinet on my own volition when I was 12 and it turns out I actually have musical talent.... All-state band twice during high school, 1st chair junior and senior year. Sadly, I gave it up in college when reality set in and I realized that music classes don't count towards much other than a music major. I still read music and count meter (obsessively; I'm a big jam band/jazz fan) and it fascinates me. I still have enough of an ear to pick out intervals when I hear them.
I wish more than just about anything that I had accepted those piano lessons and not been a bratty kid about it. |

| Good for you! The difference is, playing by ear can't be taught. You should combine your efforts!
I've been reading music for 18 years now and have a decent ear, and I'm still kicking myself. |

| Beautiful cat. You can tell she holds ownership there, no matter her surroundings!
I too am one of those who would have loved to have kept up the piano lessons!
We've started our son Alex, now 11, on piano, and I sense after almost 2 years his interest starting to wane. I'm going to jump on the keyboard when he gets home from school. He picks it up by ear, and the teacher works by traditional method. |

| Thanks guys. Carol here is a picture of her the last time she went to the groomers.
Music has been a big part of my life. I've played for high school choirs, church choirs, I got to accompany a contestant in the Miss Virginia Pagent years ago. That was exciting. I played alto sax from the 5th grade all through high school. I was Drum Major in grades 10, 11 ,12. Altstate band 1st chair 11 and 12 grades. I don't know where I'd be without music in my life.

| Hi Ken...
OOO myy gooodnesssss... poor Gabby is sport'n the lion look and she doesnt look too happy about it hahaha... . I have a friend with a long haired cat and she too does the lion cut in the summer. They never quite seem to feel very dignified afterwords haha. But you have to admit she looks pretty darn special now.
Kidding aside, she is adorable. I have a 14 yr old cat myself and love her to death... Thanks for sharing photos! |

| Thanks Kate. If I didn't take her to get her groomed she would be one big matted hair ball. She won't allow me to do it. I'm lucky to get near her with a comb or brush. She's good as gold (I'm told) at the groomers. Now once she groomed, she loves a soft brush that I have and she's Daddy's girl again lol

Ken | I feel the same way about music. I was in choir from the time I was old enough to read the words on the page....until I graduated from high school. I also took piano...but when my teacher stopped giving lessons I never found another teacher. I taught myself guitar while I was in a band so that I would be able to write music. Now I'm taking guitar lessons to fill in all the gaps I wasn't able to teach myself. It is a lot of fun. All of you lamenting never taking lessons or quiting lessons so long ago... it is NEVER to late to take music classes. |

| Ken,
She's beautiful! She also looks like she can take on everyone in the neighborhood when she's sporting that lion's cut She's got a look on her face, like "Go ahead, I'm ready for ya!" |

| Thanks BB. She's a mess and spoiled rotten. It will truly be a sad day when I lose her She was there for me at a time in my life when I felt like I had no one to turn to. Too, she is my little stress reliever. I can pet her and everything is fine
