| bringing my 2 to the cat page :)
 these 2 are my best buddies..Scroddie is a female almost 13yrs who I have to say is my 'familiar', shes my constant shadow. She even pushes her face into mine to keep me from looking or taking pictures of my betta, Sully  and I just adore her too! 
BooBoo is an aged male, almost 15yrs. His age has been hard on him, tho he is an indoor cat since he was about 5yrs old. He can't hear a darn thing, so I'm teaching him sign-language, which is going well.. Unfortunatley, its difficult for her, he goes after her food because he can't hear her growl.. and she backs up (she eats PLENTY otherwise lol).
anyways..these are my non-fish best companions  Figured I'd show 'em off too |

EDIT:: I DON'T EAT cats!!!!! They are an emotional and soulful part of "staple'

| My cats are pretty awesome
They all have a story, 5 are from my local humane society where I worked for 7 yrs.
2 are partially blind, one fully. 1 had feline herpes. 1 has feline AIDS.
But, they are very healthy, and they will all live long lives. My oldest is 17, my youngest 6 months.
The 6 month old was thrown out in front of my mothers car in an area known for its fighting rings. If my mother hadn't grabbed her, she would have been bait. | |

| They're so pretty. I love cats. I never had them growing up now I can't imagine not having one.
I just wish the cat I adopted would allow a kitten in the house. | |

But I was in my 20's,(a long time ago) and didn't get my cat fixed. (should of known better then that). After that I never had another cat or dog that wasn't spayed or neuterd.
Scroddie is from a barn/resturant area. There were many cats with kittens constantly. A long process of catch and spay/neuter weaned down the kitten population there. To almost non-existent. It was a true success story. My mother spent every day, her own $, for food and vet costs for over 14 years! After that the next bountiful of felines, came when I rescued two sister cats, both pregnant, from being put 'down'. They gave birth to 5 each, which made 10. BooBoo came from that litter. Long story short..I had the mom's spayed as a reward!
It takes terrible people to do awful things to animals, and it takes you, and your mother, and all the protectors, to correct those wrongs. I admire you for your undertaking.  | |

It's also why I'm studying animal behavior in school, want to work at Best Friends in Utah, then open my own all species rescue & referrel here on the east coast.
Animals have always been my passion, I get along better with them than people. | |
