| Name this kitten : o)

| Thanks so much everyone for all the interesting suggestions . I really like them all! Callie sounds sweet, but so does Missy, Patches, Shadow, and Gracie . I also love Muffin ... lol, so funny .
My other calico cat's name is Miss Patches, and most of the time we just call her either Missy or Patches, so I think maybe we should name the kitten something other than Missy or Patches. Not that I don't like these names of course ... and in fact I love them as I named my calico "Miss Patches" precisely for that very reason .
I and my sister also came up yesterday with Bebe, Maya, or Sunshine ("Little Miss Sunshine", lol). I really like Maya in particular.
Now I'm in a dilemma ... too many nice names!  Quote:

And well ... for now, it looks like we're keeping her. But we'll still see. As I've said, I already have 2 cats and I don't live in some spacious, quiet, and safe for pets, countryside ... ya know  . Very hard to make that decision. Either way, she WILL have a home - no problems there . Though we grow attached to her with each passing day. I believe in the end we'll have no choice but to keep her (because of the growing fondness, of course) ... and that will make it 3 cats ...  ... lol. If, however, we do give her away, we're enjoying our time with her as best as we can, and we'll make sure she gets into good loving hands.

| Lalynya ... in fact, the WHOLE kitten looks just like your cat! Exactly the same colors and patterns!  Everyone ... I wanted to thank you very much for coming up with all the wonderful names. I've mentioned them all to my family when we were thinking of some names for her. But we all find ourself calling her Maya very often ... it just sounds so pleasant and we think it's kind of cute . Looks like it caught all of our ears . So I think we'll stay with that name. What do you think?
As for the update ... I think Maya thinks that Patches is her mom! Maya keeps following Patch around the whole house ... LOL . It looks so funny because Patches is SOOO HUGE compared to Maya! To make things funnier, Maya looks like an actual baby of Patch - they look so alike! As if a small miniature of Patch were running around the house ... lol . They look so extremely cute together! All we do lately when we get home is we keep watching them together, lol. It took a little getting used to for Patches (as well as for Tiger), but she finally gave in to those cute little eyes. Patch is still a fairly young cat and so she still loves to play. Looks like Maya is a perfect companion for her. They look so cute when they're playing together. Patch is fairly gentle with Maya . As for Tiger ... he's always been reserved with respect to most people and most other cats. Not that he doesn't like Maya ... he's kind of cool with her presence, but he simply ignores her .. lol. Anyway, so that's all for now. We couldn't bring ourselves to give her away up until this point ... and I think it's too late for giving her away anyway ... right?

| Sometimes these creatures just get ahold of you and wont let you give them up. Maya is a great name for her! I usually pick names by calling the animal each of my ideas in turn till one sticks and it looks like Maya has stuck. She is so beautiful and its good she has fit in so well with the other cats cause speaking from experience, it can be difficult sometimes. I had to give away the last abandoned kitten I ended up with cause my two other girls wouldnt take to him. Luckily I found him an excellent home.
Having her around the house would probably be good for Patches as well. She can feel like a mother and have a playmate. | |
