im worried about my talkin cat fish. his colours really not as good as he was when i got him. i bought him about 2 weeks ago. the guy lifted him out the tank so i could hear him make his little noises. i fell in love with him instantly and took him to his new home

only last night i looked in the tank and hes all yellowey and panting loads. i observe my fish alot so i know when one of them is ill straight away. but this ones new and ive never had one before so im a little worried. i lifted him out for the first time this morning to have a look see if i could see anything wrong and he didnt make his noise at all so that worried me even more. i thought he'd be shouting at me to put him back in the tank

i check my water all the time - ph - nitrates - nitrites - ammonia

i also change 25% of the water each sunday. there's 3 tiny baby clown loaches, a tiny baby red tail black, some cardinals he's been having for a late night snack but non of them have gone missin for 3 days and at least 1 goes each night and finaly ive a baby sail fin leopard plec so nothing i would have thought would bother him

What exactly are your ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate readings? How big is the tank? How long has the tank been set up, and have all the fish mentioned been in that tank since it was set up?

nitrites nitrates and ammonia all 0ppm the ph is 7.8 temps 26-27

my tanks been set up 6 months. 2 months ago i changed sand for gravel.

i have bog wood and plants in there

the other fish were added 3 weeks before and the cardinals had white spot so i put treatment in when i realised last week. the white spot plus treatment

i do have another tank temp 29 degrees with a ph of just under 7.0 was thinkin of puttin him in there. that is well established and the last new fish was months ago. all nitrites an amonia nill

just didnt wanna transfer him if shock made him worse or he carried something over to my L018
