Do siamese algae eaters eat shrimp pellets?

Can I give them to him to supplememnt his diet of algae? Also, what type of algae eater would be for me? I have the brownish algae that gets on the tank and decor and also get some of the algae that is hard to get off of the glass...It's not thread algae or anything. I'm not sure what it is called.

Siamese will eat mostly all algae including brush algae (hard to take off algae) They'll eat the pellets but feed them the pellets as treats otherwise they won't eat your algae.

So, around once a week or twice a week? For the pellets?

It depends if you have algae in your tank. You can also feed them regular fish flakes. I usually feed mine 3x a week. He's doing a great job at cleaning the algae.

I don't get very much algae. Just some brown stuff will develop on the decor and plants. I get a tiny bit of algae on the tank. I all ready have a clown pleco, but do you think I should get a Siamese?
