My mom has a 60 gal bumblebee cichlid tank, does anyone know if you can keep pygmy cats with these guys? I know they're supposed to be good with African cichlids but these fish are big and vicious.

Cichlids generally seem to ignore Synodontis catfish unless they're spawning IME. More to the point, how many cichlds are in the tank and how big are they? Petricola are social fish, best kept in groups.

I think she has 4 bumblebees. She does have a mated pair that have been having babies. The big male is really aggressive. I think its a bad idea but I told her I'd ask around.

I kept synodontis with my Africans, and no matter how aggressive my Africans got, they ignored the catfish. I think that as long as her tank has a lot of rock work and hiding places it should be fine. If she just has the 4 bumblebees in her 60g, she should have room for a group of Petricola.
