Meet Bruce

He's in the quarantine right now. He will be there for a little bit until im sure he's clean

He is a Raphael Catfish, my dream catfish lol
theyre kinda like Cory's only big!!!

Ive always wanted one and now, its my chance. He is really fat haha i think he might be a she
lol

Oh and BTW, how many gallons does it need? I might want to get one lol.

the absolute minimum is 30 gallons.. Im gonna keep him in a 32 with another fish... just them two... If you could go bigger i would deffinately get him a 55 or something similar...

Hi Tony,
congrats on your new S.Raphael catfish They really are cool fish, Ive had mine for almost two years now maybe longer, I cant remember lol. Only problem I see with this fish is that you really never get to see them. They pretty much stay inside their cave during the day as they are sensitive to light. But at lights out and at feeding my guy will come out of his cave and I get to enjoy him as he swims along the bottom of the tank looking for leftover food to eat.

kate! i have read in many places that you shouldnt net them.... so for now im using a cup... what do you think? oooh alssol, i could hear him moving around the gravel last night haha my QT tank is right next to my bed

Those are the coolest! Makes me want my bigger tank even more! I bought a 29 gallon tank with a 4 year old Striped Raphael in it. It was fat and had a ton of character!

haha yup he is definitely fun to watch. He comes out during the day, but hides when i switch on the lights. Oh, btw he is so big now! LOL he has amazed me, he is about 4-5 inches now... compared to the 2 when i got him
