Could a red tail catfish become tame?

they are known to eat out of their owners hands with no problem.

ooooo I love red-tailed catfish, we have two at my zoo they always eat from our hands, their feelers tickle (=
anyway....we are having problems with one, our vet had to take air out of his stomach as he went belly-up and they took an x-ray no results heard yet. He stopped eating a few weeks ago, he had been in a 8 or 10,000 gallon tank with 2 extremely large pacu who outcompeted him for food i guess, so we movved him to a quarantine tank, trying to feed him everything, he has discoloration and lack of appetite. We had a 3rd catfish that had developed these symptoms last year but we lost him. Any ideas? The other catfish is also in his own tank doing just fine. Their unofficial names are Noodle (after the noodling technique *wink*) and Meatball

At over 4ft I doubt he has a red tail catfish and was just asking.

My dad used to have one that was about a foot long in a 240. Unfortunately it passed away during a power outage due to an ice storm. It was an amazing fish.
