I think it would be fine in a 32 gallon tank If you are planning on doing a breeding pair with your jellies, I would not put anything else in the tank with them. If you have all the same sex, they should be fine

I would put a school of praecox rainbows in there with him They are so pretty, and won't outgrow the 32 gallon. You could also add a school of cories or possibly another cichlid such as a keyhole, rainbow cichlid, or firemouth cichlid. Just make sure they are the same sex as Samson. Do you know for sure that he's a boy?

Yes, Banjo catfish grow very slowly. I have had mine for almost two years, and he is only slightly larger than his original purchase size. It would take him several years IMO to outgrow that tank. They don't move very much at all, so don't mistake him for dead ( i speak from experience..i thought mine was dead once). My cories also like to sit on top of him and he wont even move. Sometimes i literally have to put the pellet next to mine for him to eat. I can also pick mine up without a fuss which makes for easy tank transfers.

Banjo catfish are strictly nocturnal, and prefer to stay under cover or buried in the substrate (if you have sand) by day. They aren't particularly heavy eaters, probably because they don't move around much, happier kept in groups.
