what would be some good bottom feeders?

What would be a good catfish to get? I do not want algae eaters. Do pygmy cories do good jobs? Thanks

Becareful with pictus (loco, especially during feeding) for small size/docile tankmate.

I have just 2 killifish, male betta and 3 danios...

What foods do khuli loaches eat? Are they active during the day?

Oh, and do pictus cats and kuhli loaches need groups or are they loners? I would rather get ones that only need 1 or 2, unless they are really cheap like pygmy cories. Do they do a good job?? THey are really cheap. I can get them for $1.25

I agree with cerianthus totally loco fish..but a hoot and very easy to take care of....they will eat others if they fit in their mouth im sure, but ive had mine for years with angels, angel fry, live bearers and their fry, and tetras...they are happy in 2 or more..and dont spend much time on the top ...amazing clean up crew for the bottom tho...are you going to move your betta? and cories seem to do best in 3 or more ....

They scavange on the bottom and through my pplants, so any thing that gets there.

But I tend to add shrimp pellets and algae wafers to their diet just to be sure.

Mine hid for the 1st few weeks and i never saw them but now they feel secure they are out and about all the time, they like to play in the bubbles from the air wand as well.

I have shrimp pellets. So, whatever scavenger I get I can feed them. Shawnie: No, I am not moving my betta. Will he not get along with the catfish? He has not attacked any fish. I have had him for at least around half a year. Yes, if I would get pygmy cories I would get at least 3.

What about upside down catfish? Do you know anything about them?

they are scavengers also..but usually like the higher pH's and hardness...they do well with africans and might be a bit much for the betta also..they are alot like the pictus at feeding time
