The price of plecos

i have asked this question before and i heard someone got a sailfin for $5 US. know i have seen a pleco on the market for $30 AUS, it is only 2 inches.
Is this still expensive for a common pleco?

Is the sailfin cheaper? or more exp? do they get bigger or smaller than the common pleco?

how much do sailfins cost?

are common plecos easy to look after? cause i don't want to buy a $30 fish, then find it dead within a month or earlier. same deal with the sailfin, easy to look after?

common pleco, 45 cm, T or F?

Sailfin pleco, 50 cm, T or F?

do whiptail plecos eat algae off the walls?

how much do these guys cost?

thanks

A sailfin Pleco is a common pleco capable of reaching 24" (x 2.54 = 61cms)

Very easy fish to keep, if you have the space, big waste producers so beware, the are about £4 each in the UK.

BN plecos get to about 6" (x 2.54= 15.5cm) and are far better suited to most tanks.

i know the bristle nose is good, but it has been 4.5 cm ever since i got it 4-6 weeks ago. i want a larger type of sucker mouth. most sucker mouths are usually HUGE i know or 15 cm. do you know anything in between? and cheaper than $35 AUS.

Your Bristlenose should grow to around 10-12cm, but it'll take more than a few weeks. Over here in NZ common Plecs cost around $20, and Bristlenose $15. Whiptails can cost up to $125!
