I had some fish in breeding boxes in the nursery and one of them had jumped out. I had to remove the cave that was in there for the brislenose and I saw a bunch of eggs. A little bit later they all hatched! Pictures are coming. How old do they have to be to tell gender? My mom was curious.
wow I would freak out if that happened to me. Mostly because I have but one BN, but after that initial shock I wouldn't know what to do, and would probably rush to fishlore for guidance.
You can tell BN gender at about two inches at which time the male starts growing his "whiskers". If you have one of the kinds that the female has whiskers also, she will only have them on her lip while the male will have them all the way up his face.

Congrats...I am not sure as we haven't let ours breed in awhile. They are in a tank with 6 other plecos without any caves, lots of wood and rock tho. But I was told they will breed like crazy if left in the same conditions.
