Stocking Help

Need help finding a catfish/cleaner upper for my 29 gallon tank.

Current Stocking
Apistogramma Cacatuoides Triple Reds = 2.
Rummy nose tetra = 7

Thats all I got. I do not want corys. Sorry. I know that they would probably be the best fit but I am just not a fan.
Do not recomend Octos either b/c they would prob be my last resort if we can't come up with something. I like them but they are very common and I have had them in tanks b4.

I am actually looking for a fish that could go solo or a duo and would fit in my tank. Something comparable to a columbian shark/spotted catfish that will not grow too big for my tank.

I have ordered online before so all suggestions are welcome even the rare species.

Thanks

For a fish that won't grow big, won't bother your other fish, and will eat all the algae I suggest a Bristlenose pleco.

They're primarily vegetarians, but will eat any leftover fish food.

You will have to feed it when there's no more algae in the tank.

If you aren't really looking for an algae eater, there are a ton of other small plecos (growing up to 6"), in many beautiful colours and patterns!

I agree with Barbrella. Bristlenose come in various colors and patterns and stay 5-6 inches. Males have those fantastic head rostrels(bristles)

If you like rare fish, try the zebra Pleco. Very rare. About $325 a piece and gets to be 4-5".

Thanks Everyone

I'm doing research now on Plecos.

Anyone got any ideas for some catfish like this.

I love our albino long-finned bristlenose plecos and would recommend them too.

So will the Plecos do a good job on overall clean up or just good job on the algae. I have found some awesome plecos I am interested in but I really need something to clean up b/c I have a planted tank.

I have been thinking of what type of algae eater to get for a planted tank myself, it is between a bristlenose pleco and a farlowella catfish. I have otos in another tank but want something a little different.
