OK... anyone have a Jaguar Catfish? I saw one today, online... and I love it!
It has a brown body and numerous black spots with chocolate brown centers. A light yellow to gold horizontal band runs along the side of the body. It said in the description that Jaguar cats can "talk," making noises like a foghorn by rotating their dorsal fin spines. and that its a solitary and territorial fish that should not be kept with other Jaguar Cats unles the tank is very large. It said that as long as their territory is not being invaded, they are peaceful fish, and can be kept with most other medium to large community species. They are nocturnal, and will spend most of the daytime hiding. They will come out of hiding at night to feed, and will accept most meaty foods.
The specs listed were: max size at 10", min size tank 55g,
pH 6.0-7.6, temp 70-80, carnivore.
