Pretty algae eaters?

Hi all: I was wondering this - are there any pretty algae eaters? All the really striking plecos are carnivorous it seems. I know we're in the catfish section, but if you have other organisms to suggest, I'd gladly hear of them. It would be for green and brown algae basically.

Ideally, I'd need fish that get no larger than, say, 4 or 5in. I was thinking otos but I'd like something more striking.

hmm.. otos, shrimp and some plecos are the main algae eaters that i know of.. i forget which ones, but i do remember finding a couple of dwarf plecos that would eat algae and only get to 4 or 5" over at planet catfish.

Chinese algae eaters have a cool diamond pattern, but get up to 10"....Gold Algae eaters are cool too, but they get up to 12"....Both need at least 30g....

Thanks, Griffin. I guess an albino bristlenose could be cool. Oh, and of course the zebra otos, which are totally impossible to find.

Re: Pretty algae eaters?

albino BNs are cool and definitely easier to find than zebra otos (at least for us).
