neon / cardinal/ rummynose school together

i am planning to keep 3 rummynose, 3 neon and 3 cardinal.. would they school together? is this a good idea? or would you suggest how should i mix? I have 30G tank and currently have 6 zebra danios

These smaller fish may be frightened by your more active and boisterous danios, so I would add no less than four or five of each type. All three species are active schooling fish and will school together with similar shaped fish (each other), but your cardinals and neons would be most likely to school together due to a better match in color pattern and size. I would suggest 4-6 cardinals and 4-6 neons. I wouldn't add the rummynoses though, I find them to be a little touchy to water chemistry.

so rummynose is more sensitive and harder to keep than neons and cardinals? what about neon vs cardinal? which one is more hardy?

I would have to vote for the Cardinals...too they are a bit bigger than the neons.

yes, rummynose tetras are a bit more sensitive as are the cardinals, the neon are probably the hardiest out of those three.

Thank you yancazos, oooh and I did forget to mention that the cardinals are immune to the incurable neon tetra disease. (Thanks again Yancazos! )
